The Woman In Black

After many many months since I last watched a movie in cinema, I finally was able to watch 'The Woman in Black'. Coincidently, my last movie was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows part 2 (in July 2011) also starring Daniel Radcliffe. 

This post I made specially for a short movie review by 'yours truly'. 

First of all, this movie is about a guy who has lost his wife during labor and has a son. He has to go to a place called Eel March to settle a few property issue. There lies a mystery of kids committing suicide or murdered without a murderer. One after another kid will die when ever someone sees the 'woman in black'. Apparently, the 'woman in black' lost her son who was given to a couple and was drowned and the body was never discovered. Since Mr.Kipps (Daniel) came to the town, many weird things happened. He saw the 'woman in black' and since then children in the town died day after day. The ending....you have to watch it yourself.

Review/Comment

The movie is very slow. I was not able to understand the movie until almost have the movie gone. It is not that scary but they used sound as their weapon to scare people. Yes, there are a-lot of shocking scenes which sometimes you don't expect that something will come up suddenly. The ending is hanging. It was not as good as I have anticipated. It was kind of disappointing to have an ending like that because it was not complete- or maybe I just did not understand the ending, possibly. Basically, I don't really get the whole movie. There are a-lot of questions could be asked. 

I would rate this movie : 4/10

In terms of acting, superb performance by Daniel Radcliffe - 8/10

Judges in Life

In life you are judged by the people around you. You are judged at every second of your life. You are judged by people who you do not know. You are judged by friends. You are judged by families. You are sometimes judged by your own self.

We cannot run from being judged by people around because that is the nature of life. People will have the first impression judgment on you. Another thing that you cannot run from is the negative judgments by others. Well, most of the time the judgments are negative. In a way you just cannot run from being judged either by someone you know or someone you not know. Either way it still happens and still hurt.

However, people forget sometimes that they have to judge themselves first before judging another person. Before pointing all flaws of another person, you have to identify your own flaws and only then you will own the rights to judge another.

Sometimes people tend to act as though they know so much about you but in reality they might have got to know your name only and that only. Some people can make a judgment out of a name and appearance. Straight away jump to conclusion and it becomes stereotypes. For example, a boy wearing spectacles, shirt and tuck-in pants is viewed as someone who is boring and a nerd therefore hanging out with them would not be any fun.

General judgments can also be called as assumptions. Therefore, I view this as a rumour starter. It starts small talks between two or more persons which lead to making stipulations about the person that is assumptions. You have to remember that word of mouth travels faster than light and sound. The basic assumptions which were started in the first conversation will move to another conversation and it will go on and on and as a result rumour started. This is caused by judgment/assumption.

Just be careful before you judge someone. They might be better than you.

Its Me Again

Dear readers,

I am so sorry for not updating my blog. Sorry.

  For the past few months, my life has been interesting at first and then it got pretty numb and static after. I have always wanted to write something but I could not. I had no idea what to write although I have few stuff to share with you guys. The fact that I don't really have many followers made me realized that it is OK not to update. Besides that, I have been thinking on having a new blog which is only about travelling. My mum and I will join forces in doing so. Since I just came back from India, I thought it would be a good opportunity for me to have my first article debut on an official page for travel stories. Unfortunately, nothing is seemed to be moving anywhere at this moment. I am NOT busy but I am just LAZY.

  Since India I have been such a Lazy bum-bum. After I had finished working on my chores at home, I do nothing else. Thats how lazy I am at home. I was supposed to write for a national newspaper regarding my trip but that did not happen and again I was supposed to write for a magazine and even that did not happen. So, I am really looking forward for our 'Travel Blog'. Even that seems not moving anywhere. Well, that is what happen when you are too damn lazy.

  Moving on, my India trip was AWESOME! It was all I ever wanted and the experience is PRICELESS! I learnt one important thing while I was in India that is to appreciate every single thing you have back home cause looking at the suffering of the people there made me realized that I have everything that a girl could ask for (except for boyfriend :(..I'm joking) Looking at how difficult life is there changed my perspective on our country although not much but at least a little bit. I see why there are restrictions against free political campaign. I see why education is given for free and I see why we should be grateful for whatever that we have now. You can say that India has changed my love towards my country. When I was there, I was so happy to be there because of the experience and the beautiful and mesmerizing scenery but for the love of my life I would not want to live there. I am so happy that I am a Malaysian, for what its worth.

  I always believe that you will appreciate your country more when you travel to other countries, a-lot. By other countries I do mean not just a developed countries but also the developing countries or even the third-world countries. You might not like Malaysia for what it is if you compare her with a developed countries, of course. Know why? Because we are not there yet. We are still in the process of developing our country and our PEOPLE. However, even if you experience a different scenario out there in a developed countries, you will still feel like your heart is still in Malaysia, for me at least. I have been to the States and Australia which are among the developed and 'respected' countries in the world and I felt happy there. I felt secured/safe but I still wanted to come back. You see how people live then you will appreciate your life. I always believe so.

  On the other hand, if you have the chance to go to any other developing countries which are still considered as 'below' Malaysia (I am sorry for the term I used but I don't know what else to use) you will see how difficult their life is. Education is NOT free and never will. Poor people are becoming poorer. Children are forced to labor or forced to become beggers. In India for example, small kids and I do mean small are running around begging for money from tourist or locals. Not just that, where ever you go you can see at every street there will be people living by the roadside under the trees without any roof to protect them from sun or rain. They only had blankets to cover themselves up and thick clothes to cover the sand but sometimes they have only blankets to cover both themselves and the sand. Its heart-breaking to see all this but that is how it is there.

  I still do believe that the people who are not grateful for that they have are among those who have not seen sufferings of others.
